Enrolment at Scoil Mhuire
Scoil Mhuire seeks to provide for the academic, physical, spiritual, aesthetic, social and moral needs of the children within its care, in a respectful and disciplined environment, in partnership and co-operation with parents and all members of the school community.
Enrolment for Junior Infants can take place at any time during the school year but usually in the 2nd term of the school year.
The Board will communicate to the community that it is time for enrolment by placing a notice in the parish bulletin and by forwarding written notification to parents of all children of school going age. Enrolment takes place from:
– on the Baptismal Register,
– who are known in the parish,
– who have siblings attending the school already.
Parents seeking to enrol their child(ren) in Scoil Mhuire are invited to come to the school, complete an Enrolment Application Form (available in the office/via the link below) and forward it, with a copy of a Birth / Adoption Certificate and Baptismal Certificate, to the school by the 31st May each year.
The Enrolment Application Form will ask for the following information:
Name of Child
Date of Birth
Religion (of Child)
Father’s Name & Occupation
Mother’s Name & Occupation
Child’s PPS Number
Any health problems that the child may have or any medical information that should be made available to the school. Name, address and phone number of nominated persons.
Forms can also be retrieved from the school office.
